MISSOURI project concludes with a two-day workshop on microplastics studies focusing on soil and ground water

On 14th and 15th of October the MISSOURI project will conclude with a final online workshop featuring various presentations focusing on soil and underground microplastics. Topics include the effect on humans and the environment as well as their characterization. The second day will close with a round table with speakers from Plastics Europe, the Joint Research Centre and the Plastics Soup Foundation. We are very proud to participate in this workshop with the presentation "Robust Ultra-Fast Analysis of Microplastics in Large µFTIR Imaging Datasets using Machine Learning". In this presentation Co-Founder Benedikt Hufnagl will give a basic introduction into the implications of machine learning and its potential for microplastics analysis in soil and other complex matrices. More information about the workshop can be found here. Register for the event here. We are looking forward to meeting you there.
